David and Allanna Beaton moved to Buffalo in 1999 from Nova Scotia to help grow the Tim Hortons brand and presence in Western New York.

Talk about success.

The Beatons went from three Tim Hortons locations two decades ago to 31 that they own and operate today. And their team grew from 30 to 800. Five of the original 30 employees are still with the company.

On average, 20,000 people visit the Kelton Enterprises locations daily. Want a cup of coffee and Timbits?

Earlier this year, Kelton Enterprises formed a partnership with Pegula Sports & Entertainment to run the Tim Hortons outlet at the LECOM Harborcenter.

Their commitment to the brand and the community sets this first-generation business apart as leaders in the Buffalo area.

David Beaton’s advice to other family businesses: When you’re working as a business partner with a spouse, you also have to be a great listener and build a team together. Recognize that you can’t do it alone. The team you build and surround yourself with will set up your company for success and future growth.

Interesting fact: Five of the original 30 employees who joined our franchise over 20 years ago are still with us today.
