Serving up experiences where we live
At Kelton Enterprises, we're constantly looking for ways to give back to our community. Our largest and most well-known initiative is the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. Established in 1974 by Ron Joyce, co-founder of the Tim Hortons chain, it was created in honor of Tim Horton's love of children and his desire to help those less fortunate.
The foundation is a non-profit organization committed to providing a fun-filled camp experience for children who would otherwise never have the opportunity. The positive impact the camp experiences have on the children is irreplaceable.
The Foundation Currently Runs Seven Camps:
Tim Horton Camp Kentahten: Campbellsville, Kentucky |
|
Tim Horton Children's Camp: Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia |
|
Tim Horton Children's Ranch: Kananaskis Country, Alberta |

A large portion of the funding for the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps comes from our annual Camp Day. On this day, 100% of all coffee proceeds are donated to the foundation. In addition, our employees come together in various creative ways in the days leading up to Camp Day to raise funds for this worthy cause. The success of Camp Day is the result of our employees' high-spirited desire and passion.
We're also involved in various local events, including:
- · Annual sponsorship of the Hope Chest's Buffalo Niagara Dragon Boat Festival, to support breast cancer survivors.
- · Sponsoring the 11 Day Powerplay, to benefit Roswell Park Cancer Institute
- · Involvement in the Alzheimer's Association, including the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's held each September
- · The Timbit Soccer Program, where more than 230,000 kids participate yearly
